Call all the commitments/signee's and keep them from leaving especially those that were drafted.

If we have a signee who leaves because he signed with Raleigh and does not want to play for Serrano, then they are probably too stupid or thick to play for UT anyway:p

I think there are probably 3-4 guys who have not yet signed with UT who will be on campus this fall who will be better than 80% of our current signees. And they will likely all be from California.

Serrano already has a list of kids that he has been recruiting. They will end up at U.T. and won't end up being at Cal State.
I would rather him bring some of his prospects, rather than bring in Raleigh's class of recruits.

I can name a couple of signees that will never see the field but the others are pretty legit. I agree he will have a few of his signees in Knoxville this fall which will just make this class that much better. I think some of Raleigh's juco guys from last year should be gone, if they can't make an immediate impact on the team coming from juco why bring them in and obviously they didn't.

Serrano seems to have about the same waistline as Phil Fulmer. Maybe that's a sign that he has an eventual championship in him.

About the same waistline when Fulmer took over. Just hope that it doesn't stop after the first national championship. :p

I'm new here but have been a long time poster on another board. After taking care of player retention/recruiting I hope Dave sets his sights on mending fences in the community. I, for one, am ready to get back onboard. I'd left the reservation for awhile during my son's college ball (elsewhere). I'm very excited about the future now. I appreciate UT having the "fortitude" to make the right hire with the right qualifications. If I'm looking for my Masters in Accountancy then I would expect certain academic credentials. When I'm looking for a great coach, I can look at the results on the field and how that coach develops his players as athletes and young men. Dave has more than made up for degree. Would it satisfy some for UT to go ahead and award him an honorary degree :)

I agree but this incoming class can be very good and Mookie is a big part of it.

I agree. From what I can tell, he really wants to go to UT with his friends. At least 4 others from his HS team are going to UT and they've been close friends for years. All that could change, though, if Boston blows him away with $. Couldn't say I could blame him for that if they do, though.

I think that retaining Ash Lawson would be a huge plus in keeping Mookie.

He is a Tony Kemp level player. Same aggressiveness, similar speed, same game knowledge, same strike zone awareness. Tony might have a tad more speed but Mookie has more power.

Let's see what JUCOs Serrano can bring in.

I know he said he wouldn't go to UT if Ash leaves but I think he will listen to what Serrano has to say. If Ash can steal him from Vandy I would think Serrano has a chance to keep him.

firestorm have you seen our baseball uni, they're not that good looking.

I don't think the white ones with black stripes are ugly, or the black ones.
I don't have a problem if you want the uniforms to have Tennessee on the front of them with print letters.
