Anyone bank here? I have been with BOA for almost 15 years, but need to switch my accounts over to a TN bank and am considering them. I specifically like the Big Orange Banking debit cards.

How are they on fees, etc? I'll need a checking, savings, business account, credit card processing and trust account

Have been a First TN customer for many years. They were most helpful when we recently had some trouble with our building-to-mortgage transition (that was through First National). If you reach a certain total in business with them, you get free checking, travel card protection, better rates, etc. They also have a very good program for professionals.

Thanks Doc. I appreciate the info. I had them when I was a student at UT, but it's been years

I can only speak on checking and savings but Ive been with them for over a decade with no problems. As long as you direct deposit there are no fees. Online banking is smooth.

i started with FTB since I moved here 10 years ago. No complaints at all. Used their free notary service many times.

When I went back home to Mo I had someone e swipe my wallet. I had 3 different high $ charges flagged and stopped by FTB. 2 were airline tickets from Asia. Very nice people at my branch.

My wife works in their brokerage department and loves it there. She surprised me with the Power T debit card a couple of months ago. I can't think of anything bad about FTB. The local service is very nice.

We have been protected and reimbursed for credit card/check card fraud on three occasions that I can remember, as well. Very good customer service.

We have too. In fact I lost my debit card over new years and called to get a replacement. While on the pho e with them I asked about my wifes card after the big Target hack. They said they had already issued a new card and we should be getting it any day. It showed up 2 days later.

We have also had some overdraft fees waved when we got the debit cards to different accounts confused once. (We have multiple accounts that we split up the budget amongst).

I've been w/them for 40 years. I had a problem w/a teller some years ago about cashing a check that me & my wife had to sign. The teller would not cash the check because she didn't "see" my wife had signed the check. Long story short, that teller has not worked at that branch now for years after I raised some hell about the way she acted towards a long standing customer for over 40 years. But other than that little deal, I've had no trouble ever & I speak highly of FTB.

I've had this problem in the past to. She/he was probably doing what they were told to do. There are several regulations banks have to follow that change constantly. I've been in banking for the last 3 years while in school as a loan officer. The biggest problem I have with people is the "I've been a member here for 30+ years." I know its aggravating but you just have to look at it from the other side sometimes

I had a couple of business accounts with them several years ago, had no problems. I switched to a local credit union a few years ago. I like the the feel of the credit union better personally. It is local people making the decisions of the institution, that appeals to me.

I'd keep at least one account with BOA, so if and when you travel...You can always find a BOA location.

I would normally agree with that, but since I've been doing Financial Peace University, I use cash envelopes, so don't need ATMs. I only travel to CA and back usually, so if an emergency arises I'll just pay the ATM fees

First Tennessee pays all foreign ATM transaction fees on their checking accounts for you.

I don't think they specify by state. I would assume anywhere in the US.

Also, I don't know which accounts are eligible for this. They do it on mine, and I think I just have free checking.
