Whoever that may be, will be to sign Jarnell Stokes. He will be the number one player in the state and has been considered a Vol lean for a few years. His brother is a student at UT and Cam Clear is his best friend. He wore a UT hat on an unofficial to Memphis this year. If the new coach gets his name on the dotted line in November, he will be off to a great start.

Absolutely right. This is the kind of stuff we should be talking about; however, it seems stupidity reigns on the board right now.

Start getting more attention out of Memphis in general. Something Bruce had no success with.

After he re-recruits Ware and Jones, along with an at least adequate big.

It would be huge to get an in-state 5* in your first recruiting class.

WOW I think a guy name Dooley went through this. Get the right coach and we will be OK. And we will have Ware and Jones too. Calm down people. Bruce did great. But you never know the next coach might just take us to a even higher level.

Good point with the OP. And I agree about the divided fan base. I just can't believe so many people wanted to keep him

I concur.

Back to OP:

If we hire anyone with half a brain Stokes should be at the top of his agenda.

LawVol, you have stepped it up lately. But yes, Jarnell Stokes is a MUST GET.

First go check to see if the orange blazer and suspenders fits. I don't think Pearl will take them with him.

His first test is to unite a divided fan base.

Divided isn't 90% supports your coach and 10% does not as with local news poll.

The next Tennessee coach will have large shoes to fill because we have expectations of winning.

And a fan base that still isn't a game in game out fan base. Sorry just look at ticket sales this year after a couple of losses.

Looks like Shaka Zulu, or whatever his name is, is the hot candidate right now and for good reason, but my worst fear is that he'd turn out to be the SEC's answer to Sidney Lowe instead of the great warrior we need.
