well vol fans looks like we squeeeeeked out a win against AF last night:ermm: and boy does it have the butterflies fluttering in my gut. :clapping:
anyway the gator game will be my first in the home of the VOLS.
and my dads first game in 30 years.
we are from Tennessee but had to move to Alabama in 84 for my dads work we are originally from Harriman. what i'm wondering is this. our tickets are in the V section row 43.anybody know anything about the view in that section? we havent been to Knoxville in a Looooooooooong time and we will be coming from Harriman. how early should we get to the stadium? we are staying in the budget inn of america on cedar bluff rd. looks like we have a pretty straight shot to the stadium.how is parking should we take a cab to the stadium? and whats the chances in getting a cab after the game?
i cant wait for this game but i'll admit that i'm a little scared the af game freaked me out. btw is anyone bored w/ the radio coverage of vol games BK seems to be on drugs by the time the next play happens hes just now telling you how many yards were had on the last play very very frustrating:furious3: ohhh how i wish to have Jon Ward back on the play by play. GIVE IT TO HIM!!!!TOUCHDOWN TENNESSEE!!!!!!
man i loved that.  :)
anyway i am pumped up for this game looking foward to seeing the splendor that is Neyland Stadium next week as we hopefully spank the gators.i plan on not being able to talk for a week after screaming my guts out every time Florida gets the ball.
any info you guys can give will be very very helpful.

Welcome to the Board!

I'm in the front of VV (literally right above you), and can tell you that your seats will be good. The section runs from about the 30-40 yard lines. You should have a great view.

Parking without a parking pass is not a whole lot of fun, unless you get to campus early. Options include searching for a street spot, paying for a spot in a lot at private houses or businesses near the strip, taking a shuttle from the Ag campus, or doing the same from the Market Square garage/downtown.

I don't know your age or pre-game plans, but you for sure want to catch the Vol Walk about 2.5 hours before kickoff, the Strip will be packed, and make sure to get to the stadium 30 minutes or so before gametime so you can get in, to your seat, and watch the pregame and the "T."

Hope this helps. Enjoy your trip back home to God's country.

Welcome to the board DTH. The Cal game was my sons first game at Neyland. As utfantilidie said, get ready for the chill down your spine. My son said that it gave him chills down his spine and the whole gameday experience was the most awesome thing he had ever seen or experienced.

Hey great to see ya getting out of AL to see a real team play. Too bad I can not go to the game I live down in FL. However, I lived between Harriman and Oliver Springs for 21 years. All I can tell you is to get to the festivities :whistling: about 3 to 4 hours early. Get a good pair of walking shoes and streach your legs. You will want to see the Vol Walk and enjoy the strip. Plenty of Rocky Top and tailgating to do. If you plan to drive you can park in yards, the hospital's parkin garage, or whereever you feel safe. They love to tow cars in wrong places. If you plan on joining the festivities with some spirits (which never happens at our games) watch out for the man. They are looking out for everyone's safety. I hope with a UT win the experience will be even sweeter. Go Big Orange.

The Vol Walk is awesome you have to see it. Another favorite pregame tradition is watching the band come down and play to the hill which is out front of gate 21.
