that I can honestly say I couldn't care less about watching the men's bball team. I've been a fan since Jerry Green's last year and since then I wouldn't miss an exhibition game let alone any game the counted.

Nowadays I just don't care to watch them and the sad thing is, I don't get all that upset when they lose. There once was a time where it would ruin my day if they lost... now, it just doesn't bother me. Thanks Coach Martin.

btw... those of you that will say i'm not a vol fan or whatever... I ask you this... do you watch UT men's baseball? What about women's volleyball? No? So you're not a vol fan because you don't follow those sports? No, you just don't have any interest in those sports and I don't blame you. Well that's how I now feel about men's bball... I just don't care anymore.

I'll watch. But I dread it. And my family dreads it too. Its no longer a family and friend gathering. Hasn't been in awhile. Watched the last 2 upstairs by myself for 2 hrs I won't get back. Wife comes upstairs to do something and asks why I bother making myself frustrated over something I can do nothing about. I keep telling her I'm close to not watching. She says, whatever.
Basically, I guarantee you that you have more spouses of UT hoops fans that could give a flip what Pearl may or may not have done to his wife or some chick on the side, to the ncaa or whomever. There is a whole group of women that want CM gone and somebody in that doesnt make watching it miserable. She doesn't know other coaches names and wants to be entertained while winning. Just opining aloud. She doesn't give a flip about it otherwise and could care less what moral high horse some put on this deal of those that really don't give a flip what he did.
Entertain me or be gone. And don't preach about win at all cost and other bs. I don't care. I got my own stuff to worry about.

For me and my friends it's a good excuse to get together and drink beer. The playstation gets more of our attention now than the game tho.

I'll still watch horrible basketball because it's the greatest sport ever. Does coming back when we get a better coach make you a bandwagon fan? I can understand the frustration though.

I'm older and don't play as much Sega, but we would always have people over to watch, eat and drink. Havent in a long time. Nobody else is interested or plans on watching.
Seems like @ this time of year when I watched us beat Durants Texas team on cbs as I sat in the middle of 22 members of my family that are Memphis st fans in Memphis, stood up and said, "don't worry Durant! Lofton has done that to this whole city!"

I can understand how you feel. It took years to ever get my friends interested enough in basketball to form a caravan to Knoxville once a week and then it got to twice a week in the really good years. Now they wouldn't go unless someone had a gun on them.
