It's times like these when I wish the death penalty was accepted nationwide. If you infringe upon another person's life and kill them, then an eye for an eye. You get the same consequence.

The death penalty as it is doesn't do anything to deter murder, and it ends up costing the tax-payers more in the long run due to all the appeals. What would be nice is to have a prison system that murderers could be sent to and locked up for the remainder of their lives without food, water, or cable tv.
