I say Number 2 is the biggest reason we'll land at least a Top 10 class in 2020. Niedermeyer, Ansley, and Martin, are all ace recruiters and Pruitt is no slouch hisself. A 7 or 8 win season will do wonders too.

People seem to forget just how well Friend recruited as well. He was the second highest rated recruiter on staff last year behind Neids.

UT needs at least 8 regular season wins IMO to get those last add ons to make the top 5.

You can only sell promises of future glory for a while. Recruits want to see proof.

Sub-top 10 would be disappointing with this staff and Bailey leading the charge. If we can't do it with these guys, with the new car smell Pruitt still has, and Bailey, then we never will under Pruitt. It only gets harder from 2021 class and on.

I know you're half-joking, but I do think some make too much out of sec rankings. It's not like the B10 where the gap from the #3 team (Penn St?) and #7 is a massive gap of 20,30 spots.

Furthermore, only Bama and UGA are annual opponents of ours and well ahead of us. LSU, Auburn, A&M we rarely play. UF was not materially ahead of us this year. I think someone said if we included the 2 transfers' HS rankings we would be #3 nationally. Just shows how close we are to everyone else (not UGA or Bama).

Our average recruit is right there with everyone else. Now we have to win on the field and catapult our recruiting to a new level not seen since Fulmer.

While beating either uga or bama is extremely bold, I don't think you are far off. My bold prediction is we finish 3rd-5th with 25 commits and a 91.5 average.

2012-2013 were fantastic. 23 sacks allowed over the course of 2 years (with statue QBs) and we had two rushers over 5 YPC in a single season, neither being top level talents. They were all that stood between us and a 3 win season in 2013. That team was utterly devoid of talent and speed outside of the OL, save 1 or 2 defensive guys.

Star ratings. Our recruiting rank is based on the star system. If you rank our players at their original ranking we would be higher. We need to trust this staff on getting the best players they have ranked the highest.

Meh. That one had 2 walk ons even. Dooly's last season, we had all those NFL guys grown up and they pass blocked great. Never could run block well tho. Yep, every group outside that one has been Swiss cheese.
