Five more days until the day of the UF-UT game!! Been waiting for this one for awhile, us Gators. Here is what Urban and Fulmer say today:
"We do flip the switch this week," Florida Coach Urban Meyer said.
That message, targeted for his team, fits for all the locals. The new coach and Florida Field will serve as the epicenter for the state and nation, as more than 90,000 fans are expected for the week's lone matchup of top-10 teams.
Meyer, who hasn't lost a game in 23 months, will pit his spread option offense against the best defense he ever has faced. The Volunteers bring two All-American defensive linemen and the role of favorite in the SEC East with them.
They also carry confidence into the stadium: Tennessee has won two in a row in Gainesville and three of the past four overall.
"We've got a big challenge ahead of us," Vols Coach Phillip Fulmer said. "Going to Florida, they're a very fine football team."
