FL #7 AP and Coaches Poll

Nope. Their 3 wins were over team with inexperienced and/or bad qbs.

Burrow and Fromm will eat their lunch.
Not so sure LSU is all that yet. I'm sure FL isn't. Gators D has looked good, but again, against who? I think this will be one of the more telling SEC contests thus far.

Florida is -13 on the line, easy money for the LSU experts.

One of them will have to lose, for sure. Been a hopeful year for several SEC teams.

It's not about Mullen - it's what I see on the field.

He put it there. Florida is doing more with less. McElwain was never the king of recruiting and Mullen is off to a slow start by Gator standards. When that worm turns Mullen's generalship is going to be a problem.

So far his "Generalship" hasn't been all that bad-we could use some of the bad "Generalship" right here in TN! I wonder what FL would look like if he ever got good? How many have they lost this year....

Maybe and maybe not. UF has found some momentum of offense and if the OL can get some running lanes, we will be very competitive against those teams.
Dan has always schemed well against LSU, I think he has more talent now then at miss state and will have a better game plan

I'm leaning heavily towards definitely. Gators are fool's gold right now.

Do you think my comments on Mullen was a knock on this year's football team? Hardly, it's confirmation that he can coach. But it's still the Jimmy's and Joe's. And this is not vintage Florida talent and depth. Doesn't make it chop-liver. Just saying the elite high schooler will be looking at this program a lot harder in this recruiting cycle.

I did not, in fact I believe you see Mullen for what he is, the coach we should have gotten. He's done well.

FL has moved up in the polls, not down as some have predicted would happen by this time in the season, I guess being Undefeated helps. I'm always glad to see SEC teams in the top 25-and to see them moving north.
Mullen has had just as many challenges. Lots of roster defections and injuries, yet UF wins 10 last year and looks like a lock to do it again this year. They are getting better.

What exactly do you see on the field?

Sub par offensive line, no running game, game manager QB. Defensive line is quite good. Unimpressive against Miami and UK.

Doesn't pass the eye test as what I would consider a top 10 team in the nation but as I said they've managed to win and it may just be on of those seasons for them.

Maybe - my point was my comments were not grounded in some critique of Mullen; just that the play of the team has not struck me as an elite (Top 10) CFB team. Who knows what the future holds; I was commenting on this particular team and its play to date.

Mullen is still Mullen.
The FUBAR is still a real possibility for him.
And it’s not like he and Pruitt started from the same place. How many years had it been since Florida played for the sec championship when Mullen took over?

I’m Not defending Pruitt. I don’t think he will ever win anything big at Tennessee.
