“The offer from Tennessee was not very expected because they haven’t been in contact with me a lot,” said Lyons, who’s ranked by 247Sports as the No. 195 overall prospect and No. 15 defensive tackle in the 2022 class. “I felt blessed to receive the offer, and I will be keeping in contact with them more often."

“He said I had good size and was very explosive off the ball,” Lyons said of Brumbaugh. “He told me that I needed to work a little more on my hands. … Coach Brumbaugh told me that I would be playing D-tackle."

"I don’t really know much about the program, but from what I heard, the coaching staff is great — which is what caught my eye — and their success in the past years,” said Lyons

“I don’t know what visits I will be making yet, but I definitely haven’t canceled out Tennessee,” Lyons said. “I’m going to wait until further in the year to make final decisions.”
