His dad is Sedrick Irvin (duh) played for Detroit Lions for a couple years and IIRC they were related somehow. Might’ve been a brother or cousin. Pretty sure Michael Irvin had like 12 brothers and sisters.
Yes, he was verbally committed to Tennessee in 1996. There was a handler heavily involved in his recruitment as I recall. No big deal. The 1997 class is still the best RB class we have ever had (Lewis, Henry and Stephens).
