I’ll say this. Florida football suffered from people like me.

I saw the football only facilities with barbershops, waterfalls, and other stuff and thought….what a waste of money. Why would you do that?

It matters.

Well, the new thing is these support staffs. Do you need a “director of shower discipline” or “assistant to the director of eye black application”? I thought….no, this is ridiculous.

It matters. It all matters. And the ones who are winning are doing it, so I’m excited we’re doing it to.

But, I thought it was excessive and stupid. It may be excessive and stupid, but like all Americans, 18 year olds like excessive and stupid.

Nothing may be more American.

I get the support staff thing . Saban kind of created this whole thing where he basically has NFL scouting group on staff, but that’s a whole lot of people. That’s almost a 1/1 ratio.

What it boils down to is that Saban has an army, larger than basically any other school and usually staffed with at least a few ex-HCs or coordinators who are in coaching rehab, that watch a ton of video from practices and games. As a result nothing that needs to be worked on gets passed them. There are so many sets of eyes on it.

Looks like a TVA construction job. There’s a lot of people there who doesn’t have anything to do. NCAA needs to get ahold of this. Waste of money.
