@AdamSchefter: Joe Flacco and Ravens agreed to a six-year contract in excess of $120 million that makes him the highest paid player in NFL history.

I've always said he was better than people gave him credit for but geez..he's not worth that much.

Wow... He's worth maybe half that. Good for him though I suppose. Even better for the 6-7 qbs that're clearly better next time their contact is up.

Does he deserve it? Probably not

Am I mad at him for taking it? Hell No!

Tremendous payday. Bet he got one hell of a direct deposit.

Wonder what it would have been if we had not blow the Super Bowl.

Good for the rest of the AFC. Flacco will lose more frequently when his team can't afford an elite supporting cast.

I think he should donate that Corvette he was gifted by GM to a child in need, now that he can afford to buy the factory it was built in.

I am that child in need.

Blown it? Am I sensing some bitterness? You were very fortunate to be there in the first place. This is how sports works.

WTF Ravens?

The 49ers messed up continually, starting with that penalty on our first play (which was a twenty yard pass). Mad we lost, yes. Bitter about it or Flac getting paid, hell no. We will be back again.

Great deal for both sides. He only counts 6.8 million against the cap this year and 14 million next year.

Honestly, the only reason Flacco got out of the 2nd round of the playoffs was because of excellent protection, and about 4 blown coverages. Wonder what his pay raise would have been if he had failed to make CCG.

I meant you were fortunate that Atlanta choked away the NFCCG for you guys.

Weird game. They blew us out, and then we blew them out. We just did it at the right time (2nd half, as opposed to the 1st).
Hoping like hell that they do not get Steven Jackson though. That plus TG coming back will make them even tougher to beat. But we match with anyone. Not scared at all.

Take a look at the free agent qb list an you realize Baltimore was just screwed. He had all the leverage. Matt Moore, Chase Daniel, David Garrard, Derek Anderson, Jason Campbell, Brady Quinn, Rex Grossman just to name a few, but those are the high profile free agent qbs this year.

They could have hoped to trade for Matt Cassel, Matt Flynn, or Nick Foles, but that's about it.

Qb market sucks bigtime this off-season.
