Because UF beating a ranked opponent and P5 conference favorite on the road helps UT’s strength of schedule, which becomes even more important with a 12-team playoff on the horizon.

You‘re confusing logic with emotion.

The same people who want FL to lose will be crying about our ranking because "our strength of schedule is better than _____."

It's hard to want FL to do anything but recover from the hurricane, but if we need a strength of schedule boost, a win over a bad FL team doesn't deliver.
