I hate to even say this, but Florida has a realistic opportunity to hold the basketball and football National Championships at the same time.
1: Are we far behind in either football or basketball?
2: I think it is good for the SEC in that it shows the strength of competition of the SEC.

I think he has a legit question. And yes, I think we are behind them when it comes to basketball and football, not far...but we are and thats just the way it is and it is unfortunate.

Trust me, I dont like it either but look at the positives. We lost to Florida by 1 point in football. Florida didnt beat us in 2 tries last year in basketball.

Well, they have the largest enrollment in the Sec, the most money in the Sec, and the best talent base to recruit from. So yeah...they have an opportunity to rule for quite some time.

granted texas did fall short in basketball, they also won the college world series in '05

I think Texas got close with a win last year in Football and a win in the CWW I think in 05 or 04. They fell short in Basketball though.

If Florida gets obliterated by Ohio State, they will finish worse than second. They would have two losses. Michigan would almost certainly jump UF if they beat USC. If Wisconsin wins, they might even leap the Gators.
