Name sounds Turkic or maybe Armenian to me. But I think the kid is native to the United States.

When I was a lowly, lightly regarded walkon at UF, my kneecap snapped into two pieces after getting a full on hit from the helmet of a pizzled off free safety. 3 weeks into a dying football career, I was put into, and out of my, misery with one well placed hit. IT HURTS LIKE A MUTHA BEAR!!!!

Sidenote: I was small, but made up for it by being slow. Caught a BEEEEAAAUUUUUTIFULLLY thrown TD in practice off the arm of fellow walk-on Kerwin Bell. Handed the ball to the FS, laughing....

Three plays later I was done.

Think they'll give him a sixth year medical? I mean hell, this kind of situation is what it's for. But the NCAA is anything but consistent. Denying some kids a final year denies them the opportunity to get drafted in say the 5 th or 6th round or wherever, and make a little money.
