Going to add my two cents here (naturally). The one thing that I will say about this game is that Florida is itching to prove itself. The Savannah State thing was pretty embarrassing. There are some articles about it in state papers and how this game came to be, and I suppose it isn't that the Gators were ducking a good mid-major to pay a patsy or anything. Still, I would prefer to see this kind of a game scheduled in late October, rather than mid-January and the players themselves say they are anxious to be tested. And I think that is a good sign for this team's attitude. They know that whalloping a bunch of intramural kids proves nothing.
Nonetheless, Gators are 17-0 and look really good. We will see how a relatively inexperienced team does with playing under big time scrutiny and a lot of noise. Win or lose, this game is a character builder for the Gators as SEC goes into full swing.
Having said that, I maintain Gators win by 15.
By the by, LIO, I got the Urban myth reference. Very clever.
