Be careful.......I know everyone has their various "horror stories" with team _______ at stadium ________. But I will never go to the swamp in person again even though I only live a about 1.5 hr away.
1. Severely old and outdated
2. Although (being fair) most fans are just mouthy and like to rib. I have had fans throw beer at us as we walked by tailgates and even in the stands. As well as push/rock our cars as we drove through campus.
Just be careful and stay in numbers.

You are a lot more patient than some I know. They carry a Buford Pusser big stick everywhere.

I will never go to another game there.

My wife and I went two years ago. We sat about 5 rows up behind our bench. The lower half of that section was all Tennessee fans. No one bothered or had anything ugly to say to anyone that I was able to see or hear. Before the game we rented bikes and rode around campus. We ate at their University Food Court. Through their campus store. (My wife went to school there so she wanted to show me around). No one really paid any attention to us at all. There were some other UT fans and saw no trouble for anyone. I know in the past there were some issues that we’ve all heard about but now I think those are mostly gone. When you are at the game in the stadium, you are pretty much around UT fans. When you are outside the stadium, as long as you mind your own business, I think you will be ok.

I've been to Gainesville ten times and never had an incident. Gators asked us to tailgate with them. Frats let us park in Thier yard and watched vehicle. Invited us to partake of their keg pre and post game.

I don't criticize stadiums but been to several much worse including Rose Bowl and old Orange Bowl.

Things have obviously calmed down. That needed to happen. I still get hot when I think of Gator fans throwing urine on my wife. I regret not letting her take care of it personally to the rows above us. They would have really regretted that.

The 2015 game was so miserable, I said I’d never go again. It was 95 degrees and insane humidity. Game was a kick in the nuts. How people live there, I have no idea. Can’t help but laugh when Florida fans talk trash about Knoxville. Poorly maintained roads. Boarded up houses everywhere. No beach or any redeeming qualities whatsoever. Place was garbage. Worst town in the US.

If I was at Neyland and saw someone miss treating an opposing fan I would rip that person a new *******. Most people and fanbases are the same way. Be respectful to guest. Let Heupel make them cry for you!

Well there was a lot of it this past year, it made me ashamed we have fans like that. Very low class imo, ribbing is fine but esp now they sell beer everyone wants to show their a** and be the center of attention. When we act like that as a fanbase all we are doing is validating other SEC teams claims we redneck hillbilly sore losers and or winners. Not to mention making it hard on our fellow fans that want to visit other stadiums the next year.

DO not make the mistake of getting those seats that are at field level behind the visiting team. I did that one year and thought that I was going to have a heat stroke. That field is about 20 rows below ground level and the afternoon sun and humidity with no breeze is brutal!
I believe it is a 6:00 cst kick so hopefully the sun isn't too bad but the humidity will still be awful I'm sure.
