What kind of koolaid is espn sipping? Watching the late night Gonzaga vs. St. Mary's game on espn and they're talking about how Florida has a shot to win the National Championship in basketball this year.

If they can win it... i guess that puts Tn just a made free throw away from a National Championship.

I wouldn't bet on it. In fact i would be surprised if there is a SEC team left in the second week. This conference is weak from top to bottom.

If they make it past the 2nd round I'll be shocked....They'll lose to someone like Valparaso or Xavier and the announcers will talk like it was the upset of the century :eek:lol:

Agreed, especially when you consider UF's first national title squad in '06 didn't win the SEC East. The talent level has dropped off considerably.

If UF makes it to the Sweet 16, I'll be both pleased and surprised.

ESPN = smoking crack if they think UF has much of a chance to win the tournament.

I disagree with the comment above that they can't make it to the Sweet 16 -- they've won a lot of close ball games and even would not wilt to UK at Lexington in the closing minutes last weekend.

Not saying they can't lose the first weekend. Pretty much anyone can. But it won't be because of lack of confidence, tenacity and mental toughness, which have been sorely lacking the last few years.
