It's not a "want" decision; it's contract is highest ranked SEC team (in CFP rankings) if the SEC Champion is in the playoffs.

That said UF losing to Alabama (and possibly FSU as well) would likely drop the Gators below UT.

There offense has performed fine. Just as expected to be honest. The turnover and botched snap at the 5 is what cost them.
