Florida-LSU thread

maybe FSU will beat UF then they get blown out by Bama so we need to win out

Even if they don't, the loss to Alabama would likely drop them below UT in the rankings, if UT wins out.

(That's what I was trying to say in the last post. That and the Sugar Bowl doesn't get any sort "appealing choice" type of selection leeway when they choose.)

The FSU game wouldn't even need to be a blowout loss. All UT would have to be concerned with as far as the other SEC teams is that Texas A&M (now #25) beating LSU wouldn't somehow jump them back up over UT (which it likely shouldn't).

It probably would. I'm sure the committee would favor the head-to-head win of aTm over UT

LSU. What the hell. It ain't that hard to score on this overrated defense. Trust me.

It's a differential of 6 places right now though.

I'm not sure that A&M beating an unranked 6-4 (afterwards 6-5) team would be enough for them to jump that gap - at least at this point - to be within close enough of a range for any sort of consideration by the committee regarding such.

I mean, it would make sense for SEC-related rankings to do such, but these aren't pure record rankings either.
