What we need today is for Kansas St to take down Bama. Know it's a tough ask, but that would all but cement a top 5 ranking for the Vols. I know one of the top 4 could get the brakes beaten off them, but I can't see a playoff team dropping from the top 4. Bama goes down and we jump them. What a great finish to a special season. Go Cats!!

Living in Charleston and having to work yesterday, I was stuck with the Gamecock radio network. Todd Ellis single handedly made me a Notre Dame fan within 30 minutes. 10 seconds talking about ND. 10 minutes dissing Tennessee and Clemson. When the Vols skulldrag SC in Neyland next season, Todd will KNOW MDV up close and personal.

If TCU loses, they will drop below us. Bookmark it. Not sure about the rest but I think Ohio State plummets hard if they lose bad to Georgia because they basically got in because everyone else lost and not because they deserve it. (They were the best selection of what was left but they didn't have the wins or resume to get in if there was more options).

JH had his team ready to play, simple as that. As he's done all year, he played to his team's strengths and coached around their deficiencies. At times I don't understand his play calling at all, but I'd guess I'm thinking checkers and he's playing chess.

Anyway, it was a great coaching job and I imagine potential recruits have to be impressed with the guy.
