Ya really need to do a little research. There were two others. This was the largest ever defeat by a #1-ranked team in the history of the AP poll.
I read an article that worded it incorrectly, dumbass. It’s the largest in 57 years and the 2nd largest ever in the regular season.Ya really need to do a little research. There were two others.
“The Vols avoided the worst loss by a No. 1 team with a run late in the contest. No. 2 Kentucky beat No. 1 St. John's by 41 back in 1951, for the biggest margin of victory.”
The other was in 1968, when Houston was defeated by 32.
…and yes, if I see it in yet another thread, I’ll call attention to your ignoring of facts.

I had placed a bet on Tennessee and then that happened. LOL.
Go Vols!
Good reset for us and a lot to learn from this game. Wish they had made it respectable, but I think they just washed this game and will hit the reset button. Flush it and move on. Knowing who you are and what you are capable of is the key. Moving forward.
The problem: we’ve got Texas next, and a similar set of circumstances. Tennessee will still be number one. Texas will have yet to win an SEC game. This was your "Perfect Storm" (CPF) game. Fla was coming off a very tough loss @ UK, looking for redemption, and #1 ranked Tennessee provided the Lamb. So Florida, (actually the better team) at home, motivated for some get back vs one of their most hated rivals? With the sellout crowd in a frenzy? Vols had no shot, and they wilted.
