Florida Gators coach Urban Meyer still 'actively involved' despite leave of absence - ESPN

Is Meyer basically still counting by NCAA rules as the HC?

If the guy really resigned he could not contact recruits. If his resignation was never effective he could. I would be interested in an NCAA investigation of his contacts. He was only allowed to call once per week when this all happened, and it sounds like he was calling a great deal more.

They cannot hire a replacement for Addazio (sp) because if they did they would have too many coaches?

Meyer has lost all credibility to me. Maybe Lane Kiffin should start lying his face off. It worked out football wise for Saban and Meyer.

"He said that he had to step away to regain his happiness and recharge, but that he'll be back and ready to go," Mack Brown said. (Talking about Meyer). That sounds pretty weak, first its chest pains, now he needs to "regain his happiness"... Meyer sounds more emotional than a female, next thing you know he will be getting hot flashes...

He essentially asked off for the entire summer. I think he was going to retire, but UF's Ad probably threatened to sue if he didn't coach.

This was covered in-depth in the NCAA forum.

Said his leave didnt take place till Feb 4th, hmmm, the day after NSD. My bet is, he is "staying" on just to keep the recruits, he will probably continue with his resignation there after IMO. I do not trust or believe anything this guy says! I cant think of anyone in sports that Ive ever disliked so much!! It blows my mind how much winning makes people think so different about someone. Has people not learned anything from Tiger, no one is perfect!! This guy is trash and I hope any and all things bad about him come out and ruin his rep forever!!!

Any of the UF recruits that are falling for his BS are as dumb as a box of rocks. He's not coming back to UF! If he was coming back there is no way he re-hires Drayton.

lol so 21-28 dumb as rocks kids this year IYO. Drayton is back for recruiting ONLY. Anyone can coach RB, if you look at most offense coaches at some point they held a Rb job.....UF will throw the ball more next year so Demps, Brown and Gilli can split up those 20 carries a game. Recruiting is the key and no matter what, he's a top 5 recruiter in the SEC.
