Wooooow.

FSU was down 2, in FG range at the NC State 22, and NC State only had 1 timeout remaining.

And on 2nd down - rather than make NC State use their last timeout and use the remaining 30 seconds to set up the game winning FG….FSU decides “**** it”, throws for the endzone, overthrows the receiver (or maybe tries to draw a PI penalty but drastically puts way too much on the pass), and it’s intercepted by NC State. Like the defender was fielding a punt.

Final score NC State 19-17.

That also pretty much gifts Clemson the Atlantic division.

If FSU won, there was at least some chance of a 3-way tie between FSU-Clemson-Wake Forest if the Seminoles could pull an upset next week. Clemson would have to falter twice amongst the remaining “gauntlet” that is FSU, Syracuse, Miami, and Louisville.

As I’ve said before, you might get away with stupid coaching decisions like that it the Little Leagues but not when you get in with the big boys. Sometimes coaches think they are too smart and get cute and it costs them.

I said a few weeks ago, than Lane Kiffin should take the FSU job. I’m never been impressed with Norvell.

Does Deion take this job after next season?

When you throw a football, 3 things can happen. 2 of them are bad.
