I find it hard to believe that they are not going to try and bring Richt back, but apparently they are going to let that ship sail.

Why would you even want to be the guy who follows a CFB icon like Bowden....Tough shoes to fill historically but stastically it can't get any worse.

You could not possibly be more wrong. The fans of the school -- and many of the main donors and powerful alumni -- are beside themselves waiting for Bowden to reitre. They will givew him his due and honor him, to be sure, but they'll also be dancing in the streets when the retirement party is over.

I never said anything about the fans not wanting Bowden to retire...I was stating from a future HC position that it will be tough to live up to the legacy that Bowden has...I am sure all War Chant fans are praying for the day when Bowden finally hangs it up.

Well sure but gone are the days of HCs staying anywhere for 30 years. He doesn't have to compete with that.
