It would be a more interesting competition if the sports were weighted in accordance to how much people cared about each sport. Florida wins this about every year by winning lots of 'Olympic sports' that I'm not sure half the SEC competes in. Say if Football counted 10, Men's Bball was 5 and all other sports 1 what would it look like?

I remember Alabama winning that thing in one of the years when they were on probation for the DuBose cheating. They won the national championship in gymnastics that season, which I mocked by asking them if their new cheer was "Tumble and Roll Tide!"

Nobody gives a crap about how good you do in women's soccer, lacrosse, gymnastics or whatever other silly sport the SEC sponsors.
