Here's a quote from the story in Fox Sports.

Meyer got choked up after Saturday's loss to the Spurrier's Gamecocks. It wasn't like this for Meyer at Bowling Green or Utah, where he was dubbed a genius and a savior, and parlayed it into a $2 million a year salary with Florida.

I'm embarrassed for the Gator fans.

Geez. Enough with the hankie soaking.

South Carolina, with an offense that ranks second to last in the SEC and a defense that is fourth from the bottom, has won five straight games. The Gamecocks beat Tennessee for the first time ever in Knoxville. The win over Florida snapped a 14-game losing streak to the Gators.

:hi: to the ball coach.

Urban Meyer can win with that spread offense in the Mountain West, but this is the SEC where defenses win ballgames.

Yes Urban you can come back next year and Yes Urban, Steve Spurrier will once again kick your tail, get use to it, Phil Fulmer is getting so acustom to it, its all most natural. :twocents:

I hate that Spurrier has made it once again, but at the same time there's just something poetic about the gator Nation now, being humbled by their former master n cheif.

You think they may regret wanting to get rid of him in 2000?? hmmm. I guess 10-3 wasn't so bad after all huh?

And for all of us, watching all of this happen around us, it should be a stiff reminder of what happens when Knee jerk reactions are made about coaches....Nebraska is NEmbarrasing, PSU has PStunk for a while until this year, Alabama has been an Alabummer for the past 5 years until this year, Notre Dame has been Notre Done as well until this year...what have they all had in common? Coaching changes while the program was still on top so to speak, w/exception of PSU.

While i have my reservations about Phil and Co, and have had them for a while, it's still not too late for him....OC hire will be huge, Off season personnel decisions will be even bigger and we'll find out a lot very early next season about where this team has come to vs. where it is now.
