The defense is obviously great. Lack of a run game makes the team incredibly streaky because we depend on big plays too much. We are completely incapable of the standard 80 yard drive in 10 plays type of thing.

True enough, but that's the beauty of the Mullen scheme he puts out there. The barn's offense, on the other hand, didn't have an answer when the running game was squeezed. Florida didn't try to beat their heads against a rock for 4 quarters vs that front line. They basically did just enough to remind the barn they could run it if you get lazy. Instead, Mullen was able to get his WRs on ILBers over the middle and it worked just fine for a couple of needed scores. He spent a lot of time stretching the D horizontally, trying to get his guys some space. Not sure about Trask longball but Mullen had the barner's DBs set up for a double move all game. After the 1st quarter, the barn was playing up on your WRs way too close. Got to have something to work on I guess.

Never believed the hype about Auburn to begin with. Knew it immediately during the Oregon game which they were lucky to win. Good defense, yes, but nothing exceptional. Offense is average with Bo Nix but error prone. He is certainly not elite and never will be. They will probably be 'exposed" at least a couple more times this year.

Florida's very good defensively but you need to have semblance of an offense to win consistently. They will also be "exposed" at least twice, if not more, this seaon. Trask just isn't going to cut it.

Nix is was a 5* Top 50 kid with a family pedigree at the QB position.

To emphatically state what he’ll “never” accomplish, halfway through his freshman season, is pure idiocy.

Was this another fluke? I've read on this very board, time after time, FL isn't a very good team, shouldn't be in the top 10 (some even claim top 20), but they keep winning-how are they getting so lucky? Maybe we should be buying some of those magic charms, as it can't be their talent, or coaching.....

Well Mullen has had five years to bring in his guys . . . oh wait nevermind.

Mullen is a solid coach and I'm not surprised he's been successful there (a bit surprised he's been this successful this quick though).

Bet they're glad they "missed out" on Chip and "settled" for Dan

I wasn’t sold on FLA in the beginning of the season, and contrary to what some gators on here think, they tend to get lucky and win in stupid ways. It’s uncanny how many times opponents just screw the pooch in the final minutes of their games.

That said, they have turned into a solid team this year. Defense is legit and WRs are good and I don’t think QB play will ever be an issue while Mullen is there. Florida is good this year, just need to accept it.

I think people are just not used to seeing UF win without great offenses.
Winning with defense and inconsistent offense makes their wins look ugly.

If Mullen ever hire elite recruiters, UF will takeover the east again.

Vols will take an UGLY WIN, A BAD WIN, A LUCKY WIN, in fact ANY WIN would be greatly appreciated. Our one win for the season, is looking lonely, and has been for a while.
