Florida Vs Barn

I’m surprised at the lack of run game this year for your guys. And while I don’t think it suddenly gets straightened out against Barn I do think it will come around sooner rather than later

Why surprised? Replacing the 3-4 starters on the O-line does that to anyone.

We will get CJ Henderson, Zuniga, Miller, Davis and Taylor back on the defense, most of whom didn't play against UT. While Auburn's D is excellent, so is ours at full strength.I think we successfully hold back Auburn's running game, and Bo Nix won't be able to pass much if both Hendo and Wilson are playing. While our O-line is terrible at run blocking, it is average at pass blocking. Trask has shown he can read blitzes relatively well and make you pay for it. I like that we are underdogs at home. I think we beat them 20-14.

I’m not sold on our OL vs Auburn’s DL. Their DL is legit, and we can’t run the ball against air.

Defensively we get some guys back from injury, so that helps. Bo Nix has yet to look like a freshman, and Trask has us all wondering why he was ever Franks’s backup...this season at least.

I feel about this game the same way I did going into the LSU game last year, expecting the worst and hoping for a competitive game...hopefully I’m pleasantly surprised again.
Pretty good comparison. That one worked out well.

If yalls OL was better I'd call it a toss up.

I think the defense is good enough to win that game.

Auburn’s DL is legit, but their secondary is suspect. I’d expect Florida to run a lot of misdirection, draws, and screens, to go along with a short passing game. Also expect some qb runs to keep their DL honest.

As for Auburn’s offense, Nix has looked legit this year. And Florida always seems to struggle against mobile qb’s. Florida does well creating turnovers, although I think those are very flukey.

They have a legit track guy at WR, and he runs a lot of reverses, will probably house one. Nix does just enough running to keep Florida’s DL from wreaking havoc, and Auburn wins 24-17

UF has about as much of a chance at beating Auburn as we do UGA.

eh...UF has a chance if a bunch of breaks go their way, which isn't out of the realm of possibility with UF.

UT has zero chance. If we get every single break plus win the turnover margin by 4+, we MIGHT come within a TD. GA will name the score of this one.

This game reminds me of the LSU game last year; everyone focused on perceived deficiencies of UF and not giving them much of a chance, while ignoring Auburn’s deficiencies.

Auburn’s d-line is outstanding but their secondary is average. The only matchup that favors Auburn is their d-line v UF’s o-line. As has been pointed out already, nobody does a better job hiding deficiencies than Mullen. By the chatter here and elsewhere, you’d think Auburn was the team fielding the defense ranked #1 nationally in sacks, picks, red zone defense and among the top in the nation in scoring defense. But they aren’t, that defense belongs to Florida. How about Auburn should be worried about Florida’s D-line? I guess that hasn’t occurred to anyone. If UF has a healthy defense with Zuniga, CJ Henderson and Ventrell Miller back, why the hell won’t Florida shut Auburn down, especially at home?

UF’s defense and home field advantage lead to a win. Florida - 27 Auburn - 17

Maybe because Auburn’s defense has performed well against teams with winning records ie 4 of the 5 teams(2 ranked) so far. UF has played Miami, UT, Towson, UK, and UTMart none of which are doing well right now.

However, I respect UF’s talent and know that it’ll be Nix’s toughest game yet. I expect him to throw an INT or two. Should be an interesting game. Will be close.

I fully expect Mullen to pull every ounce of offensive performance out of his QB. I mean, he usually does. If Florida protects the edges and can keep Boobie Whitlow under control it could happen.

Not hardly. UF won't beat them with any performance they ve had to date, but their path to a win is not over Mt. Everest during the winter season.

Like Florida...…. not sold on Auburn. Didn't impress me, and quite frankly, were lucky to beat Oregon, who is a so-so team.

Fla. hasn't looked that impressive either but going with them at home since it's a toss-up game.

This will be by far the best conference game we've seen this year. Preseason, I picked FL losing to KY and struggling against TN.....well....
Auburn has held up it's end all season long.
To me, their question mark was offense, and their young QB has gotten the job done with his arm and his legs.
I don't see FL having enough firepower, particularly against AUs front seven.
Looking forward to watching this one.
I expect Auburn to win an instant classic.

All injury-related. And the six players are big time dudes, not a bunch of 4th stringer afterthoughts. CJ Henderson, Freddie Swain, Jabari Zuniga, Shawn Davis, Jawan Taylor and Ventrell Miller.

That's good for the gators, bad for my pick list.
If the gators beat Auburn this week, I'll pick the gators the rest of the way. (spit) :)

I’m expecting a good game in this one.
But would like the gators to lose this one if it meant they beat Ga later.
Otherwise I guess I’m pulling for my families team
