Florida vs. Texas for BCS title

Im gonna go ahead and say UF will beat Bama in SECCG and Texas will manhandle Mizzou in the Big 12 title game... Who wins this one?

ESPN - NCAA College Football Polls, College Football Rankings, NCAA Football Poll

wow, OU is ahead of texas by only 1 vote in the coaches poll (although i guess the 2 first place votes carry more weight or something?)

last week though, OU was 2 with Texas at 4, w/ OU having 4 first place votes to Texas's 0 and leading the Longhorns by 42 votes

this will be interesting since the computers have been the ones favoring Texas and the lead looks pretty slim

when does the other bcs human poll - the harris poll- come out today?

This is like a nightmare... Alabama and Florida 1 and 2... :disappointed:

AP poll doesnt mean diddly squat anymore; it's now just pretty numbers that espn puts beside team names, it carries little weight

so...bama and UF 1 & 4 is still a nightmare

Last post by me for a while.

Harris Poll is up for this week:

ESPN - NCAA College Football Polls, College Football Rankings, NCAA Football Poll

they've got Texas at 3 and OU at 4, with Texas leading by a first place vote and 6 votes. This might hurt OU as last week they were at 3 with 2 first place votes and 21 votes ahead of the 4th place Texas. This could bode well for Texas if the computer polls haven't changed their minds between this week and last...

and the first of the computer polls jumped OU; if none of the others changed, OU might have it

Well atleast I predicted one team right in the title game... I just couldn't decide between USC and Florida... but obviously went with USC vs. Oklahoma.

Leach just said he thought the Big 12 should hold an executive meeting and determine the tiebreaker based on graduation rate. Texas is 11th, Oklahoma is 12th.

It'll be funny if OU loses to Mizzou and Texas ends up playing for the championship.

Texas is up on USC by quite a bit, and USC only plays a crappy UCLA team, so no big points getter there.

What's interesting though is that espn and the pollsters spent all last year with that lsu v uga case saying you can't go to the bcs championship without winning your conference. Under that mess and idea they should really have to raise southern cal if the scenario came up

If the pollsters don't purposely put Texas down enough so USC jumps them in the BCS then it would be a tragedy to see a team that didn't win their conference in the NC game. It would be the right thing to do. If that happened (OU losing and Texas beating out USC) then the BCS would be scrapped immediately.

The pollsters have set themselves up for failure, if OU loses.

If they knock Texas way down, then they look like they had no clue this week.

If Texas goes to the Championship, then they look like hypocrites from last year.
