Florida With The Easiest SEC Schedule since 1992

Interesting article.

I figured Auburn would have the toughest schedule. They played Spurrier's UF teams annually from 1992-2001, and they get Bama every year in the Saban era...in addition to UGA.

This shouldn't surprise anyone. The best overall team in the Championship Game Era never had to play themselves.

Not hard to believe. Vandy and UK have pretty much sucked since '92. South Carolina was down in the '90s. UGA and UT have had some struggles at times. When you win, the schedule looks easy.

glad someone figured this out.

if you want to make your schedule look tougher...lose.

it improves the ranking and winning percentage of your opponent every time.

florida played auburn and lsu every year until 2002. they played alabama all the time because of the sec title game.

don't know any way the schedule could have been made tougher.

Basically the East sucked for most of the 90s other than UF and UT.

i have said this numerous times for the folks who believe the west just now became tougher than the east.

the sec east was a joke in the 90's.

tn lost to sc in 92. fl lost to georgia in 97. from 92 through 99, i think those were the only divisional games either team lost other than to each other.

Finish the regular season playing FSU?

actually, now that i think about it, florida has played in 10 sec titles games.

that's an extra 10 games against an obvious quality opponent. 4 of those games were against alabama teams that were undefeated at the time for crying out loud. (92, 94, 08, 09)

edit: sec title games were not included.

I like the fact that everyone says we "backed" into the SEC title game in 2007. Noticed it was on a list of the "hardest" titles won since the split in 1992. Walking backwards to Atlanta is pretty hard though, I guess.

This word, "everyone", it doesn't mean what you think it means.

UT won the East in 2007. Period.

florida cant have a easy year when they play SC, UGA, Tenn, and FSU every single year. at least two of those games are a 3 point game. i think UGA takes the East again this year. but GO BIG ORANGE!!!
