The chances of that happening are very very high. Personally, I think Florida loses to Auburn and LSU at least. The competition in the west looks to me to be so much greater in the East. And it has been that way for a few years now. It is going to be one of those wacky years where we are looking at tiebreakers, etc.

it also seems that UT has an easier schedule than UF...so it gives UT a better chance at the East title...thoughts?

Well, I don't think we have a "better" chance at the East title, especially since UF will get it if we end up with equal records. It's not impossible, but it will be an uphill battle, especially if we can't make some dramatic improvement up front on O.

We do have an easier schedule than Florida without a doubt. However, I think we have a lot of questions - O-line, injuries on the defense, what about our running game. I am sure these things will work themselves out, but I will be watching nervously until they do.

The answer to your question is, No, Tennessee does not have a better chance than Florida. We likely lose to LSU and quite possibly Georgia. Even with Florida's two losses, they are still ahead of us. Georgia has a better shot of taking Florida down than we do. My fingers are crossed that everything rolls our way :crossfingers:

UF does not necessarily get it if we end up with equal records.

I give UF a 50-50 shot at winning the SECE from here.

And, if we end with the same record, then UF wins the division on head-to-head tiebreaker.

How do you figure? :hmm:

If Georgia has the same record as both of us, and say we beat Georgia, but Georgia beats Florida ... wouldn't they go to the out of conference records? And then if those are tied, don't they look at something else? I can't remember exactly from the last time we did this.

3 way tie where 3 teams have all beaten one another. It happened a couple of years ago among UGA, Florida and us.

Nitpicky. But if we beat Georgia, or anyone else who would also possible be tied with us, then that wouldn't happen.

IF Tennessee wins out, and Georgia beats Florida, and all three teams end up with one SEC loss, or Tennesse beats Georgia and Georgia beats Florida, and all three teams end up with the same number of losses, as well as division losses, then the tiebreaker is rank in the BCS.

Georgia would have a medium game with Georgia Tech, Florida would have a tough late game with FSU, and the Vols would have the end of season Vandy and UK. If some how the Gators lost to FSU, Tennessee would be higher than the Gators in the BCS, maybe even if the Gators struggled since the Gator loss to UGA would be late in the year.

It's a stretch I know, but it's a possibility.

Not nitpicky, an actual possible scenario. I don't think UT is that good this year, and you beating us by one makes me think you are not that good either. I see LSU and Auburn beating you.

Listen guys IMO there is no chance for all three teams to only have one conference loss. That would mean LSU losing to UF and UT. and Auburn losing to both UGA and UF. Not happening this year

Come on . . . you really believe that? Florida goes on the road in the SEC against a top 15 opponent and wins and you think they're not that good?

All could have 2 losses. Still the same scenario.

Honestly yes. Chris Leak running Meyer's offense I find very unimpressive. Florida has a great defense. We have an average defense that they scored 21 on. I did not think they were impressive offensively. I think LSU and Auburn will defintely shut them down. Georiga may do it also.
