Florida's three pitching " Aces " as characterized by at least one poster.....not dominant now mind you because there is no such animal in today's softball world on the college level according to that same poster.....did a pretty good job of being at least 90% dominant holding the Lady Vols to two runs in 21 innings. Not being a math major it will take a little time to figure their ERA but needless to say it is pretty good.

Yep, the pitching staff was very good...got a few calls in yesterday's game in a crucial bases loaded inning from a home plate ump who seemed to enjoy the cheers coming from the crowd in the friendly confines...but I was even more impressed with their defense, made several plays that the Orange team wouldn't have made, and do the "little" things very well. Florida team has a catcher with a great arm...only 2 stolen bases all season...good Lord!

They have the best staff in the country but Auburn tagged them pretty well....we just didn't swing the bats and Ralph said they would fix it

As I said before, last week's great start against Ark needed to be taken with a grain of salt - Arkansas lost to Grand Canyon today. I didn't even know that a) a national park has a school (lol), and b) they would have a softball team capable of beating an SEC team. Then again, Arkansas softball is best classified at the moment as a club sport at best.

Florida's staff is pretty dang good. Can't think of another staff with 3 pitchers like this. Barnhill is the weak link right now and that says a lot, but only because she is still trying to overpower hitters like she's been able to do before coming to FL. Once she realizes that she needs to be a "pitcher" she will be deadly, because there is a difference between a pitcher and a "girl who pitches." Right now she's just a girl that pitches.

Looking towards next weekend vs Miss St. Last week one of the better offensive teams, Auburn, put up 13 runs vs FL in three games. This weekend only 8 vs Miss St. What does that mean? I have no freaking clue other than anyone but Arkansas will require you to bring it each and every inning of each and every game this season.

I'm sure the Weeklys will get some things worked out this week. Looking forward to seeing them in action again on Friday vs Miss St, hope the weather forecast holds.

Give Barnhill a year with that staff and she'll be dominating the SEC.

I wish the Weekly's could discover Florida's training regimen. Whatever it is it is working. Florida's pitchers did not used to be this dominating.

Jennifer Rocha.

Marty McDaniel ain't too bad either. We'll have our turn when Gabby Sprang and Logan Caymol arrive on campus.

Both Sprang and Caymol stand at about 6'1" tall. Sprang's frame is more developed at this point but Caymol will fill out given more time. Really outstanding job by the Weeklys on getting these two elite pitchers. Future is bright!

I hope you are correct because I was mistakenly led to believe that this year's freshman Class had at least two elite pitchers on it .That may still happen but is very unlikely from what I have seen thus far.

They will be give them time...look for both of them to pitch tomorrow or that would be my guess!
