The whole "Wow, Urban recruited a bunch of thugs" narrative didn't really seem to take hold nationally until Aaron Hernandez was found guilty of murder and then killed himself. We knew about it, and people who follow the SEC knew about it, but it really wasn't nationally known until then.

Still, those things occurred 8 and 6 years ago, respectively. The Netflix documentary about Hernandez that came out a few years ago was just a regurgitation of news reports; if you just even kind of halfway followed the news coverage of the trial, you already knew everything that the documentary mentioned. Hopefully this documentary is more interesting.
