food for thought

Ok, I only read parts of the article but I stopped when this guy said he was as good a passer as the other 5. I could throw a screen pass to Harvin that goes for a 80 yd TD. A lot of Tebow's passes were horizontal passes, not to mention the fact that he had a ridiculous number of play makers to work with.

Over/under on how many times Tebow is caught crying on the sidelines next year?

As far as that article goes, I wouldn't get my hopes up. He isn't even better than Jimmy Clausen but they want to lump him in there with Matt Stafford & Peyton Manning

And if he's such a good passer, then why is having to completely change his throwing motion...now that's food for thought.

The anti-Tebow crowd will argue, weakly, that he was surrounded by greater talent than those other passers.

The anti-Tebow crowd, of course, has its head up its ass.

Let’s look at Peyton Manning. Last we remember, he played with not one, not two but three receivers taken in the top two rounds of the draft: Joey Kent, Marcus Nash and Peerless Price. His team was so loaded with talent that it won the national title the year after he left.

That article should look at Alex Smith too, to see that even an Urban Meyer QB without an utterly awful throwing motion manages to suck in the NFL...

Uh, Peyton got the first two drafted. They never were NFL guys. Peerless is the only one and he's a number 2 receiver at best.

I can't believe this is even a debate. 99.9% of people agree that Peyton Manning is one of the greatest QBs to ever play the game. Time will tell where Teblow ranks among the greats of all time, but right now he's just a good college QB with a weird throwing motion. Let's not get carried away with the accolades.
