1) Seems like our young players are more talented than we think. D. Morley got dared by one of the track coaches that he couldn't long jump. He told Morley if he broke 21 feet that he could compete for the school. He stetched for a few seconds, put on some steeple spikes and promptly jumped 24+ feet. Expect to see him in SEC's and nationals if everything works out.

2) It's really sad what happened to Ced Houston...I don't want to get into specifics of his injuries because I'm sure they will leak eventually, but I think the worst injury is probably his broken wrist. It's actually pretty miraculous that that's all he came out with. Picture this..... the range rover they were traveling in hydroplaned and flipped. The driver was buckled up and Ced was not. On impact Ced flew out of the sunroof and out onto the ground at about 25-35 mph. Everyone pray for Ced Houston and the driver, who is also a great person.

3) Last thing before I take off.....I'm quite impressed with how hard the team is working out. I know football isn't a physique contest, but it sure doesnt hurt to be built like a brick wall. I don't know if the players are starting to get concerned with their diets but results are being seen across the board. Whether it's bulky receivers slimming down or heavy lineman shedding weight, these guys look good. Summer practice and workouts will only get these guys more ready so I am extra excited for the season.

So long.......

I just hope he doesn't injure his feet taking up dares.

No doubt! No more pick up BB or long jumps or anything else off the field that could get these guys hurt.

Does anybody realize how good a jump of 24 feet is? Let this man work on his technique and get in the correct spikes. He could be NCAA champ with a jump over 26 feet. Who would pass on a chance like that?
