fulmer doesn't sound pleased in the tennessean. sounds like more of the same offensive woes this year. i'm wondering after years of bad play if anybody could fix the offense. fulmer says they just can't finish, sounds like the same phrase he used last year. along with execution. :devilsmoke:

that is true and i know alot of our starters are hurt and not playing and alot of younger guys are getting a chance. i guess i just didn't like how he phrased it sounds too much like last year.

true i know it is early, but i'm trying to look for something to be positive about. the earlier the better.

no what i consider positive would be a article saying( the offense has some kinks, but looks to be gaining steam. ainge is regaining his freashman form and the recievers have showed great hands. the offense has been strong up to this point and is putting the ball in the endzone on a much more frequent basis. there is alot of work to be done but with the edition of CUT the offense seems to be coming around. ) not the offense still can't close the deal or our offense looks stagnet. that makes me feel worse than i did before. by the way this was a article from the tennessean, if it would have said good things i would have posted it too.

Seriously doubt you will hear many positives coming out of this spring no matter how well the offense performs. Compliments were a dime a dozen last year. I take this as an actual "lesson learned" by CPF.

I would say CPF will be keeping his compliments close to the vest this yr.

It's MARCH... I don't care what the football offense looks like right now.

Shouldn't you expect the D to be stronger than the O in March anyway?

I'm a dumb Kentuckian who don't know football, but it kind of makes sense to me.

Replacing 4 offensive lineman hurts the offense alot. Ainge still needs to be developed. Cutcliffe is a good coach, but I'm afraid he has his hands full with the QB position. He's going to have little time to give attention to the O-line. I'm afraid UT will have to rely on Fulmer and our former TE coach.

Trooper is a talented coach as well but he has his hands full with the WR's, thats a full time job as well. Roper inherited a good group of athletes at RB but they are young. Lot of work to be done to turn this offense around IMO.

The SEC usually puts it best athletes on defense. The offenses need a lil more time to come together.......quite amazing the wishbone offense was ever run in the SEC
