I've been watching Cliff Harris of Oregon torch USC tonight as a punt returner and DB

IIRC, he returned a punt for TD in our game vs Oregon and has a total of 4 punts returned for TDs this year.

Checked out his Scout and Rivals pages and found he was clocked at 4.5 & 4.60 in the 40.

Just goes to show how track speed rarely translates to the football field.

Here's to hoping Dooley & Co have gotten verbals from several guys with football speed

He ran the pick back. But he's a lockdown corner. I liked him when I saw the way he played at the Army All American practices.

When I was in HS our best WR ran something like a 4.8 or 4.9...but he always seemed to be the fastest guy on the field, even when we had guys run 4.6's during camp.

I'm not seeing this all-world talent the Orange Overall Crowd thinks USC's defense has.

USC doesn't have any stars on defense they are really under manned. its one of the reasons, besides pending sanctions, PC was quick to take that seattle job.

The crazy thing is, CLK has yet another built in excuse as to why he isn't winning.

I'll give Kiff 2-3 years for him to undo everything Carroll did with the program. I thought he did pretty well with us, despite being an epic douche, but he's still not proven. Heaven forbid he ever has an NCAA investigation b/c we all know the cheat that is coach fat head. Plus, I can't see why recruits would want to play for the guy after all the drama surrounding him and his staff.

If you cant see the talent gap between USC's defense and UT's defense then I dont know what to tell you. We have a guy now starting at DT (and is our best one by far), that was only a situational pass rushing DE for USC.

This...

You can measure it in stars or however you want to measure it.

I defended Monte last year, but this year is showing that he is not able to coach up extremely talented players to anything resembling a championship defense.

Who has done less with more? Monte Kiffin or Will Muschamp?
