Football is the ultimate team sport because no one guy can make a team successful. I felt compelled to write this because all of the toxic blame that is aimed at Joe Milton right now is sickening. Did the haters not see that Missou had the ball for almost the entire first quarter, pushing our defense right down the field? How often does that happen? Joe didn't have anything to do with that! Did they not notice that our vaunted running game was rendered ineffective? Joe didn't have anything to do with that either! Every single play starts at the line of scrimmage. If the offensive line is successful, the odds of the play being successful go way up. If the offensive line is being manhandled. The play is going to fail. The armchair haters are only looking at the skill players. The skill players can't do anything unless the offensive line is getting the job done! Remember when the Patriots dominated the NFL? In most games, Brady's jersey was as clean as it was when he left the locker room! My point is not to talk down to anyone but to try to educate those who do not know what actually makes a team successful.
