not trying to bash your thread or anything but.......so? if that was a vol fan on this board that posted that then it would probably get a good reaction.

Football time in Kentucky means that its only 2 months until Basketball season. :eek:k:

I'm just ready for SEC football. Period.

No, I'd say the same thing. It's absolutely ridiculous.

I've never had to "suppress a strange urge to run around a high school football field during a game."

I don't go about my "day and routine, quietly, politely, but occasionally thinking of how loud I'll be in a month."

How "global warming will affect college football" has never crossed my mind either.

Maybe, it's just me. I hope I never see a Vol fan write something like this.

Its a conversational piece written out of season by a fan who is slobbering at the mouth for football season to begin. The quotes you provided were obviously placed in his post to provide over the top anticipation for football, not literal instances. Creative writing is something they teach in school. It was harmless enough, and a good way to pass the time until the first ball is kicked. I think it would have recieved an equally good response here on VN if written about the Vols. I'm quote sure "VOL FANS" care this much about their program.
