For all junior pro coaches/best kid trick play ever!

That's just cheap. I would have laughed if a single player on the defense figured it out then ran back there and lit him up.

same principle as the fumblerooski.

Also similar to something the Indianapolis Colts did where Manning walks away from center as if conversing with the sideline, and the RB gets a direct snap.

I totally agree it was wrong, but the kid played it off nice! I'm just shocked the d-line didn't see the center snap it.

I saw the title and instantly thought "wrong ball trick".

It's so shady and dishonorable that I would not hesitate to use it if the situation were desperate enough.

What kind of white trash is going to do that in a kids game? Oh yeah, that guy

My middle school team actually successfully executed this play and won a game because of it. I've not seen it run in nearly 20 years though. I thought it had been outlawed.

That's funny. :eek:lol:

We had a "Where's the kicking tee" play in high school.

The holder was the starting QB and the kicker was a WR.

We would line up in a FG formation then start yelling for the kicking tee. As the kicker passed the hash, the center snapped the ball and the kicker took off down the field.

We never ran it in a game though.

Trick plays are usually nine parts desperation and one part matchups. A few years back, we were ahead in a game against our rival at the end of the season, up by 4, with about 4:00 to go on our own 20 with a 4th-and-5. For the one time all season, we called a fake punt and got it.

Next play, the QB fumbled the snap and they went in three plays later.

We were 1-4 at the time coming off a 58-0 loss. I'd say your analysis is spot on.
