Who say "Why aren't we getting has many early commitments as our rivals, blah, blah, blah, our recruiters are overrated..." Well, first off, our staff has been put together for about a little over 3 months, which means they are already almost years behind others schools staff. Kids usually arent going to commit to a staff that they just got familiar with a few months ago. It just doesn't happen. And if you really look at other SEC schools commit lists, 65% of all of their early commits are in-state kids. The fact is, the state of Tennessee just doesn't have the in state talent of a Florida, or Louisiana or Alabama, etc. But lets take a look other SEC schools early commits:
Florida: 10 (9 in state)
LSU: 6 (4 in state)
Georgia: 3 (2 in state)
Alabama: 7 (2 in state)
If you don't count Alabama, almost 80% of commits are from in state. And if you look at Tennessee's commit list, there is only one person on it. Guess what state that kids from?
