I want to guess Midnight Star’s No Parking on the Dance Floor.

I was around 10. My older sister let me go to the skating rink with her many a Saturday night. And that album was played a lot.

I honestly can’t remember the first one I actually paid for myself. I think technically it was second hand albums from someone who had signed up for one of those mail order cd services. One of the first ones I recall was DMB Under the table and dreaming

Dont recall if it was my money (from a birthday or whatever) or not but the Ghostbusters soundtrack on vinyl was the first album I picked out at the store and brought home for me.

Later I know I spent allowance money on Fresh Prince cassettes. Whichever one had Parents Just Don’t Understand.

I don’t remember buying anything before a 45 of Band on the run. I think about that day from time to time. Record had the green apple on it. My mom took me to Rivergate Mall with birthday money in hand. Went to McDonald's after.

Pretty sure Kiss Rock and Roll Over or AC/DC Highway to Hell on 8 track a few years later was my next purchase with my own money. All I can remember anyway.

This was my second album buy, 1975, I remember standing in the record store with my older brother and I only had barely enough money for 1 album and I wanted several. I was trying to choose between it, Nazareth’s Hair Of The Dog, Bad Company’s Straight Shooter, ZZ Top’s Fandango and after what seemed like hours, but probably wasn’t, I chose this ...

Probably The Eminem Show. One of the greatest rap albums of all time. I was 12 I think. I remember begging my Grandmother to let me buy it, the parental advisory sticker was an issue for her.

First cassette: U2 - The Joshua Tree (1987)

First CD: Alice In Chains - Dirt (1992)

"Would?" is still one of my favorite songs.

First vinyl - KISS: Alive 2

First cassette - Quiet Riot: Metal Health

First CD - Lynyrd Skynyrd: Gold & Platinum

8-track was slightly before my time. They still existed when I started buying my own music but I was all about vinyl at that time.
