This coaching search is absolutely exhausting. Not on Hart's part. I am putting faith in him and no matter what I or we do as an entire fan base matters in the least right now.
It is exhausting from reading idiotic post about whomever it may be. The coaching bashing that makes the MOST sense is the anti Gruden guys. He is truly the most unproven candidate and the most expensive candidate. Winning the Super Bowl DOES NOT EQUATE WITH SUCCESS IN COLLEGE. Because Gruden is most likely not a candidate anymore, I'll quite with the Gruden section of this rant.
For those hating on any of our options at this point, WHO ELSE DO YOU WANT?!?!?!? We are not coming out of a season where we just won the NC and our coach is riding off into the sunset. We just lost to every SEC team the last 2 seasons except UK and Vandy and didn't even do that in the same season. Coaches aren't really begging to get here.
For those who are hating on Strong and saying he is a "middle of the road" SEC coach, I say I'd love to have a middle of the road SEC coach. The SEC is full of great coaches and most all great coaches have a period of time in the SEC. Furthermore, most of the coaches y'all are putting above our candidates, especially Strong, would have been just as suspect before they had success in the SEC (Franklin, whom no one knew much about before Vandy, Sumlin, who has a Heisman trophy winner whom he didn't recruit, Muschamp, who most of y'all didn't want 3 years ago, Mullin who most of y'all also didn't want 3 years ago) and now everyone's saying we should get a guy on their level??? Strong is on their level and so is everyone else because they started out the same way he and every other candidate we have did.
We aren't going to get Saban, Meyer, Miles, Spurrier, etc... We just aren't. Hell, we aren't even going to steal one of these other "middle of the road" coaches from other SEC schools. I don't know what could make half of you idiots who don't have the attention span to read this article are going to be happy with. If you've made it this far you probably aren't one of these idiots.
