From his blog today:
"Best coaching job: Phil Fulmer (22), Tennessee. Fulmer began pulling himself out of the fire last year when he replaced offensive coordinator Randy Sanders with David Cutcliffe. Since then, quarterback Erik Ainge looks like a different player, and the Volunteers are playing like a different team than the one that went 5-6 in 2005. Their only loss is by a point to the Gators, and they've walloped California and Georgia. "

Good for Phil....like 'em or not, so far he's made the right decisions with coaching personnel to get this fixed.

Truth. And he seems to has some fire under his ass this year.

Three examples of Phil I have never seen in years before:

1. In the Cal game when the refs gave a wide reciever a bad spot Phil went nuts about the spot, called for a review and got it over turned to a first down.

2. In the Marshall game he chewed Erik Ainges butt out on the sideline.

3. When he got splashed with Gatorade at the Georgia game he was getting crazy jumping up and down getting wild with the players.

Also, the old, headset under armpit, polite golf clap, I have honestly not seen it that much this year.

Agree with this. It was also nice to hear him say that Georgia couldn't stop us at the half and then watch us back it up in the second half.

I was shocked to hear coach Fulmer say that going into the locker room, trailing by 10 points. Definitely not the conservative approach we're used to. He probably got that from hanging out with Bruce Pearl.

Either way, it was awesome to see our offensive performance prove him prophetic. Georgia's D could not stop us...and if we play with that kind of tempo, I don't know if there's a team left on the schedule who can beat us.

It has also been nice to see UT go for the throat the last couple of games with a lead. I love the agressive attitude of this offense......put them away instead of sitting on the lead. Did we learn something from the UF game?
