I was wondering if anyone is knowledgeable of the NCAA rules in relation to Alumni and the role they can have in helping recruits decide on their decision to join their Alma Mater! I know one of the reasons Meighan Simmons came to Tennessee is because she some how met Candace Parker (or played on her AAU team) and the school was able to get a look at her before other schools drew interest. I also know that a lot of players in the 2016, 2017, and 2018 classes favorite players in the game (or who they look up to) are Lady Vols (Candace Parker and Tamika Catchings). I just want to know how can we use them to assist us in recruiting which wont lead to sanctions by the NCAA! I know they can not be in direct contact with them (phone/email/etc.) but I also know that schools like UConn, Standford, and Notre Dame (Schools who have been successful for a while now) have former players come back and practice/play with their players during the summer. Would it be an issue if Parker or Catchings was on the campus to play with the interested recruit in an effort to have them commit to the university. I understand Holly is of the same mode that Pat Summit is and will not jeopardize the integrity of the program but if other schools have been able to do so and no sanctions have come about, couldn't we do the same thing?
