is now highest-paid punter in NFL. He reached an agreement with the Chiefs on a 5-yr, $18.75 million deal, including $8.9 million guaranteed.

I've got a buddy that's an SC fan and he still talks about the day Colquitt had against them in Knoxville. I think he got it inside the 5 from 50+ yards 3 times.

I like to hear news like this.

I remember a few short years ago when the highest offensive player in the NFL was Manning and the highest defensive player in the NFL was Haynesworth.

I also remember in 1992, when the NFL defensive rookie of the year was Dale Carter and the NFL offensive rookie of hte year was Carl Pickens....

Congrats to Dustin! The guy is a weapon for the defense. Great hang time and really good a pinning the opponent inside the 20.

Ray Guy made it to the NFL Hall of Fame, so maybe Colquitt can do the same..

I made a mistake. Ray Guy is NOT in the NFL Hall of Fame. With his value as a defensive player, I thought that he had already made it. Guess not!!!!

I remember that game. I also remember the monster punt he got off from the endzone in Miami where he pinned the returner against the sideline causing a fumble and a Vol recovery - end of the game!

Congrats to him on his new contract.

How many Colquitts kicked for the Vols--4? I don't think there's ever been a kicking family like them in college football--and I'm pretty sure they were all great punters. It's not one was a star and the rest just kicked too--they were all good. Our punting and kicking now is a SHADOW of what it was in the 80s and 90s.

Maybe you should start letting people die so they realize how much you're worth?

(Just joking, guys...)

Yeah..I forgot that point...makes it even worse...kind of like when Travis Stephens lost the Doak Walker to the BYU rb who missed the last third of the season with a broken leg
