The players feel disrespected...disregarded. They are hungry and ready to go.
The difference that I see is that they are more together this year than last. Last year,
while there were great seniors, there was a bit of a disconnect to the younger guys.
A generational gap...that's what I like to call it. Now it seems they're all together,
on the same page and pulling for one another. More team, big chip on the shoulder.

Staff has a sense of urgency. They have always wanted to win. This time it feels
like a calm but determined demeanor.

I am excited for this season. I think we'll be a lot better than many will give us
credit for and that is a good thing. I think you will all be pleasantly surprised.

There are still Vol faithful behind them. Always.

They are doing all the little things that you don't think will matter, but it absolutely
does....finishing drills, discipline in technique, being faithful to doing things correctly.

The leaders will come from several places....there will be some offensive people who
will step up....Meachem, Arian, Erik, Cory.

Sounds like a winning hand to me!

Thanks for the updates. The way you describe the team always brings a smile to my face. Let the guys know were behind them.

Will Arian split time with Coker and/or Hardesty?

That would be the coach's call. I'm hoping they're all healthy so that
everyone can be fresh all year long.

Most mothers wouldn't answer that question that way. Kudos to Fostermom for looking out for everyone.

I wouldn't say split tme.I think Fostermom is trying to be politically correct. The way I see it, Arian is king of the hill right now simply based on last years performance and determination.I'm sure the others will play but how much remains to be seen. Jamal and Travis played alot. That seemed to work out good.

I think it's better for everybody if somebody can handle 10-12 carries and share the load so Foster doesn't have to carry the ball 30 times.

Gary Coleman never saw the field for meaningful carries until Jam got hurt.

I'd really like to see Sears be much more vocal in his leadership role on the o-line, more of a Al Wilson style of ferocity in task discipline.

I totally agree Dan.Actually we need all the leaders we can get out there.

leaders like Al dont come around every year. if you think about he almost willed us to the natl champ

I'd agree, and Sears in his compacity with all the new meat on the line if he were to assert his seniority would probably accelerate the Oliners gelling into a unit that Arian could cruise behind....and Ainge could just massacre secondaries. If I were the Oline coach Id definately be telling him your my seargent out there...you have to give them an example to follow, and the best way to a fat NFL payday is to do just that....you feelin me son?

Thanks, as always, for your contribution, FM. You can feel the excitement building around here and in K-town -- tell the boys we're ready and that they'll know it when they hit field in September!
