One of the best recruiters has left LSU, to become head coach at UTSA. That changes SEC recruiting a little bit. Pounce Big Orange!

For all you that want CZA gone, I would have liked this man to replace him (he was the WR coach here under Kitten). I was wondering if the experts thought this move would help us with some recruits.

Would have been an excellent upgrade. Huge boost to recruiting as well.

Yes. But possibly not this year. Wilson opens a lot of doors in Louisiana.

Sooo, is this a good thing for UTSA? He replaces Larry Coker, former HC at Miami some years a go.

Yes. Wilson is a good recruiter and knows the business. Also strong recruiting ties to LA. He will get the job done just needs to bring in some good assistants. Really anything is an upgrade over Coker. UTSA is a very young football program hell I still consider them 2 a in terms of talent.

Frank Wilson's departure to UTSA could be a game-changer for LSU and race for No. 1 class on signing day because of all undecided Louisiana talent. Wilson was the Tigers' primary recruiter in New Orleans where four ESPN 300 players are still up in the air. Now LSU will be in scramble mode with its biggest recruiting weekend of year starting Friday. I know a lot on the FF Forum were like what the hell are you reporting this for it was for the recruiting Forum.

Who do we have a realistic shot at? That's why you're catching guff. This helps the rest of the SEC, not us.

With Les needing to win big time in 2016 coaches may want to be careful making a move to LSU.

UT needs to win big in 2016. Our expectations are equally as high as a team. Why move for a coach consistently under fire? Why move when our team probably has a better chance to make it to ATL because the East is considerably weaker?

Unless LSU has a complete break down or Les decides to retire, I suspect the chances of him going anywhere for a few years to be pretty slim. Unless he has a losing season I just don't see it happening now until they get closer to the end of his contract. If anything, he probably went from on the bubble to be basically running the show.

Les won the battle.
